Welfare Day
Welfare day at Christ the King
Yet again, pupils from Via et Pax provided a musical interlude to help entertain the elderly in the parish and of course their efforts did not disappoint.
The children are always so keen to take part and this year we had a welcome return performance from our young guitarists, Matilda, William R., Tristan B., Makori, Zean, Joe V. This was followed by some budding pianists, namely, Eda, Olivia C., Alex M. and Alvin.
Later, Tristan B. had us all laughing with his interpretion of a funny Roald Dahl poem and finally, Class 2 rounded off the afternoon with two enthusiastically sung songs, followed by “Goodnight Ladies” on their ocarinas. We made our way back to school, lightened by the fact that we had added a little pleasure to the lives of those who are often very lonely. Well done everyone!
