Mrs Yasia Hugill - Chair
Jaswega (Yasia) has been a member of the Council of Management at Vita et Pax School for approximately 16 years. She has two daughters, both of whom have passed happily and successfully through the school.
She is Head of Department and Second in the Faculty at a local 11 -18 mixed comprehensive school and also has a pastoral responsibility as an Assistant Head of Learning, currently with year 11.
One of her main areas of involvement at Vita et Pax has been as part of the team concerned with performance management and the restructuring of pay scales in accordance with new regulations. She has also attended parents’ evenings at the school to provide a listening ear to parents.
Mrs Helena Casbolt
Helena's daughter joined Vita et Pax School Nursery Class in 2001, whereby she passed happily through school.
Helena runs her own Dental PR and Marketing Consultancy, Graffo Script Ltd, which she set up in 1998. This involves working closely with dental manufacturing and dental retail companies to maximise their sales by advising on marketing campaigns. The writing and submission of technical articles on behalf of dental surgeons and dental technicians together with press releases is a major part of the business. Helena has run a variety of courses and seminars for dentists in the UK. Drawing on her role as marketeer, she has helped to promote the school within the local community.
Helena was invited to join the Governing Body of Vita et Pax in early 2007. She feels that it is a great honour to be involved with such a thriving and forward thinking school.
Ms Pamela Clear-Doughty
Ms Clear-Doughty has had a varied experience of the English education system. She has recently retired, but maintains links with sixth form through her tutoring role.
Her leisure interests are classical music and Renaissance art & literature.
She lives in Southgate. Her desire to support the school in the capacity of member of the Council of Management springs from the very positive experience her son had as a member of the Vita et Pax school community (1995 - 2000).
Mrs Sandra Fennessy
Sandra qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and practiced commercial litigation in Simmons & Simmons, a City law firm, for 10 years. She has two daughters, both of whom joined Vita et Pax in the Nursery class. One of her daughters is currently in Year 6 and her other daughter has recently transferred to secondary school. Sandra values and wishes to support the school's ecumenical ethos, which she believes provides a supportive, nurturing and stimulating environment for the school's pupils.
Mr Christopher Howell, MBE
Christopher was a registered architect (RIBA) and Town Planner (MRTP) and the Director of Planning Policy in the City of London before his retirement.
He has been on the Council of Management for 20 years and is the Company Secretary. During the time that his children attended the school, he was Chair of the Parents’ Association for 3 years.
Christopher’s role as a governor is to support the ethos of the Sisters’ foundation of a Catholic school with an ecumenical approach to all Christian denominations and other faiths, whilst embodying its principles in the development of the curriculum, the fostering of community care, hospitality and self-respect.
Mr Chris Long, BA, PGCE, PG Dip Catholic Leadership

With 16 years experience of Headship, and as a member of the Westminster Diocese Inspection Team, Dee hopes her experience in a variety of school settings will support the future of this thriving school.
Dee is passionate, both as a parent and educator, about increasing children’s life chances by offering them the optimum learning environment. She is delighted to find all aspects of this in Vita et Pax.
