Our StoryFounded in 1936, Vita et Pax Preparatory School has been at the heart of the Southgate community for nine decades. Our name, meaning "Life and Peace" in Latin, reflects our enduring commitment to nurturing happy, confident children.
What began as a small school has grown into a thriving community, yet we have never lost the family atmosphere that makes us special. Every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their very best.
Today, we combine traditional values with modern teaching methods, preparing children for entrance to leading senior schools while ensuring their time with us is filled with joy, friendship and discovery.

Mr May is the first male Head in the school's ninety-year history, bringing a fresh perspective while honouring our proud traditions.

Mrs Newton leads our Early Years Foundation Stage provision and serves as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
