Important: VAT on School Fees

From 1 January 2025, VAT at 20% is applicable on tuition fees only (Reception – Year 6). Nursery fees remain VAT exempt. Meals & materials charges are not subject to VAT.

Figures shown are for term-time attendance (39 weeks), paid in 12 equal monthly instalments, and are effective September 2026. Fees vary by number of days attended and government funding eligibility. Full-year (51-week) places are shown further down. All nursery fees are VAT exempt.

Our nursery is open 51 weeks a year, closing only between Christmas and New Year. Full-year places include the school holidays. Government-funded hours apply in term-time weeks only, so full-year fees are shown net of funding and paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.

Transport to curriculum activities (e.g. swimming, fixtures, visits) Shared between the pupils taking part and notified in advance. If a charge would be difficult, please speak to the Head in confidence; no child is left out.

Sibling Discounts

We offer discounts for families with multiple children at the school:

Second child 5%

Third child & onwards 10%

Discounts apply to tuition fees only and to the younger child/children. Not stackable with scholarships, bursaries, or other fee concessions — only the higher benefit applies. No sibling discount for government-funded Nursery or Reception places. Discount is conditional on full and timely payment of all fees. Non-contractual — may be varied on one full term's notice.

Notice of Leaving

One full term's written notice is required if you wish to withdraw your child from the school. This notice must be given to the Headteacher before the start of the term preceding the term of departure. Fees in lieu of notice will be charged if insufficient notice is given.

Fees FAQs

What is included in the fees?

Tuition fees include all core teaching, textbooks, and standard educational materials. The meals and materials charge covers school lunches and consumable resources. Some optional extras (clubs, trips, uniform) are charged separately.

What is the fee for entry to main school?

Entry to main school has a £240 enrolment fee, subject to VAT, payable when accepting a Reception–Year 6 place.

Is there an enrolment fee for Nursery?

A £120 non-refundable enrolment fee is payable when you accept a Nursery place that includes paid hours. There is no enrolment fee or registration fee for a funded-only place, where your child attends only government-funded hours.

How do I pay school fees?

Fees are payable termly in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer, Direct Debit, or cheque. Monthly payment plans may be available by arrangement with the Bursar.

Are bursaries available?

Yes, we offer means-tested bursaries to help families who would otherwise be unable to afford the fees. Please contact the school office for more information and an application form.

What government funding is available for Nursery?

All 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week. Some families qualify for 30 hours funding. 2-year-olds from eligible families may also receive 15 hours funding. We help families navigate these entitlements.

What happens if I need to withdraw my child?

One full term's written notice is required before withdrawing your child. Fees in lieu of notice will be charged if insufficient notice is given.
