As part of Black History Month, we were delighted to welcome guest speaker Mrs Sophia Ovonlen to our assembly on Thursday 15th October.
Mrs Ovonlen spoke about her career in education and introduced her book, Nehi and the Forest Friend, which shares magical stories about animals and families in Benin, Africa.
Her message was one for every child in the hall: everyone can achieve. Follow your dream, work hard and never give up, be kind to everyone — and remember that your story matters too, because every family has a story.
Thank you to Mrs Ovonlen for visiting Vita et Pax and sharing her story with our school community.
