Friction
Year 3 have started their new topic ‘Magnets and Forces’. In our first lesson using our brand new science room we learnt about friction. Children carried out an investigation to see which materials create more friction. Using a toy car, a variety of materials and a ramp, we measure how far the car travelled. We wrote findings after using scientific vocabulary. We made predictions. wrote our method, our equipment, used fair test, showed our results in a bar graph and wrote our conclusion. Children loved the experiment. some children even
did further testing at home and brought in further results!
