Celebrating Talent and Togetherness: The Vita Variety Show
At Vita et Pax Preparatory School, our commitment to family values and community spirit was beautifully on display during our Vita Variety Show on Thursday, 1st May. Held in the heart of our North London school, the event brought families, staff, and pupils together for a vibrant evening that celebrated creativity, confidence, and compassion.
The Vita Variety Show was a resounding success—not only in terms of entertainment but also in reflecting the values we hold dear. From Reception through to Year 6, children took to the stage with pride and enthusiasm, sharing their many talents with a warm and supportive audience. Performances included soulful singing, impressive piano and violin solos, original poetry, stand-up comedy, and a wonderful display of cultural diversity through Irish, Greek, and Indian dance routines. The evening was rounded out with gymnastics performances that had everyone in awe of the skill and dedication of our young athletes.
A true highlight of the evening was the leadership shown by our Year 6 pupils, who took full responsibility for organising the show. They managed everything—from selecting acts and assisting rehearsals, to introducing each performance with poise and personality on the night. Their teamwork, maturity, and enthusiasm captured the very essence of what we aim to nurture in our pupils: confidence, compassion, and community-mindedness.
In keeping with our ethos of giving back, all proceeds from the event were donated to the British Red Cross. Thanks to the generous support of our school community, we raised £300 for the charity—an outcome that left us not only proud, but deeply grateful.
Events like the Vita Variety Show remind us why we cherish being part of the Vita et Pax family. They reflect the strength of our community, the importance of nurturing every child’s unique gifts, and our shared commitment to making a positive difference beyond the school gates.
