Vita et Pax Wins Positive Energy Grant!
We are thrilled to announce that Vita et Pax Preparatory School and Nursery in Enfield, North London has been selected as one of the 25 runner-up winners in the Everyday Energy Competition, proudly supported by British Gas!
Thanks to the incredible creativity and environmental passion of our pupils, Vita et Pax has been awarded a £500 British Gas Positive Energy Grant. This award recognises our commitment to sustainability and supports our ongoing efforts to build a greener future for our school and local community.
A special congratulations goes to three of our inspiring pupils—Kara, Esme, and Sarai—whose brilliant ideas and forward-thinking entries helped secure our place on the shortlist. Their passion for the planet shone through, and we’re so proud to see them recognised in this way.
What This Means for Vita et Pax
This generous grant will support the amazing work already underway at our school. From our eco-club and eco-council to curriculum-linked sustainability projects, the funding will empower us to take further action.
Some of the initiatives we’re exploring include:
- Starting a vibrant school garden to grow herbs and vegetables
- Launching a recycling and waste reduction campaign
- Organising energy-saving workshops and assemblies for all age groups
In addition to the grant, we’re excited to be receiving a special banner featuring a winning design by another competition star, James. His artwork will soon be displayed at school as a daily reminder of the positive energy our students bring to the world.
What’s Next?
We’re in the process of confirming delivery and finance details, and we can’t wait to share how Vita et Pax will use this opportunity to inspire even more eco-conscious learning and action.
This achievement reflects the values we hold dear at Vita et Pax Preparatory School and Nursery—compassion, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility for our planet.
To our amazing students, staff, and families: thank you for supporting our mission. Together, we’re showing that even small schools in North London can make a big difference!
Let’s keep leading the way toward a brighter, greener future!
