Academic Awards Evening Celebrates Achievement and Community at Vita et Pax

On Monday 23rd June, Vita et Pax Preparatory School and Nursery in Enfield, North London, held its annual Academic Awards Evening—a wonderful celebration of academic achievement, community spirit, and family values. The entire school community gathered to recognise the dedication, hard work, and progress of our pupils over the year, reflecting our commitment to nurturing every child’s potential in a caring, supportive environment.

Families joined us in celebrating the success of our pupils across all year groups. For Years 3 to 5, awards were presented in English, Maths, and P.E., recognising excellence, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning. Year 6 pupils received a series of special awards marking their final year at Vita et Pax. These included the prestigious Headteacher’s Cup, Academic Excellence, Kindness, Leadership, and awards in all subject areas—celebrating not only academic success but also the values of compassion, responsibility, and service to our school community.

The evening was brought to life with a variety of pupil performances that showcased the many talents we aim to nurture at Vita et Pax. Guests were treated to Irish dancing, singing, piano, and violin performances, reflecting the richness of our creative curriculum and the confidence our children develop through these opportunities.

We were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Mr May, who will be joining Vita et Pax in September as our new headteacher. His inspiring speech encouraged our pupils to continue striving for excellence and to embrace new challenges with curiosity and resilience. Mrs Lynch, our current headteacher, also addressed the audience, offering heartfelt reflections on the year’s achievements and gratitude for the partnership with families. Natasha Kallis, one of our governors, shared her congratulations and support, while Mrs Antwi-Adjei, an inspirational parent, spoke movingly about the power of family values and the strength of our community.

It was a truly memorable evening that captured the spirit of Vita et Pax as a nurturing, inclusive Enfield private school, where family values and community lie at the heart of everything we do. We look forward with excitement and optimism to the year ahead, confident that our pupils will continue to flourish under the guidance of our dedicated staff and our new headteacher, Mr May.
