Vita et Pax Awarded TfL Travel for Life Gold Award

We are absolutely delighted to share some exciting news – Vita et Pax Preparatory School and Nursery has been awarded the Gold Award by Transport for London’s (TfL) Travel for Life programme!
This prestigious award recognises the hard work, dedication and care shown by our entire school community in promoting sustainable, safe, and environmentally friendly travel. It is the highest level of recognition from TfL and reflects the values we hold dear as a nurturing, family-oriented school in the heart of Enfield, North London.
Over the past year, our school has taken many important steps to reduce our environmental impact and encourage healthier travel habits. These have included:

Walking or using public transport for all school trips

Taking part in Bikeability to help pupils become safer and more confident cyclists

Training and supporting our fantastic School Travel Ambassadors, who have worked hard to spread important messages throughout the school

Introducing parking restrictions outside the school gates to improve safety and reduce congestion

Attending TfL-led events and holding engaging workshops in school around sustainable transport and road safety
This Gold Award is more than just an accolade – it’s a reflection of who we are. At Vita et Pax, we believe in looking after our planet, making thoughtful choices, and working together as a community with strong family values. The journey to sustainability is one we are proud to share with our pupils, parents and staff.
