Year 5’s Magical Theatre Trip Brings Learning to Life!
At Vita et Pax Preparatory School and Nursery in North London, we are proud to offer enriching experiences that go beyond the classroom and reflect our deep-rooted family values, commitment to nurturing, and strong sense of community. Yesterday, our Year 5 pupils had the extraordinary opportunity to attend a performance of Matilda the Musical — and what an unforgettable day it was!
From the moment the curtains rose, the children were completely captivated by the lively storytelling, incredible music, and stunning performances. Roald Dahl’s much-loved tale was brought to life in spectacular fashion, with colourful staging, impressive choreography, and a powerful message about resilience and the importance of standing up for what’s right. The pupils were visibly engaged throughout, reacting with laughter, gasps, and wide-eyed wonder. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and their behaviour throughout the trip was exemplary, showcasing the respect, maturity, and kindness we value so deeply at Vita et Pax. It was truly a joy for staff to accompany them and share in their excitement and appreciation for the arts.
A very special thank you goes to Miss von Loeben, who organised the trip with such care, efficiency, and dedication. Her thoughtful planning ensured everything ran smoothly allowing the children to relax and enjoy the experience to the fullest.
What makes this trip even more impressive is that it was entirely funded through the Year 5 Enterprise Challenge — a remarkable initiative driven by the creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and teamwork of our pupils. Over the course of several weeks, Year 5 worked tirelessly to develop business ideas, market their products and services, and manage their budgets, all while learning valuable skills in collaboration, communication, and financial literacy. Their efforts raised the full amount needed to fund the theatre trip, making the experience not just enjoyable but deeply rewarding.
The success of this trip speaks volumes about the values we uphold at Vita et Pax Prep School and Nursery.
