Wild West Fun at Vita et Pax: Enfield Prep School Hosts Annual Summer Fayre
The spirit of the Wild West came alive in north London last weekend as Vita et Pax Preparatory School in Enfield held its much-anticipated annual summer fayre, celebrating family values, community spirit, and creativity in true cowboy style.
Nestled in the heart of Enfield, the private prep school has long been known for its nurturing environment and strong sense of togetherness. This year’s event was no exception, with families, staff, and pupils coming together to make the day a truly unforgettable experience.
With an epic Wild West theme, children arrived in their finest cowboy boots, hats, and checkered shirts to take part in a lively competition for the best-dressed cowboy and cowgirl. The school grounds were transformed with colourful decorations and an array of themed stalls, from arts and crafts to face painting, all capturing the spirit of the frontier.
Highlights of the day included a thrilling rodeo bull ride, a lively bouncy castle, and, proving a particular favourite with the children, pony rides that gave little cowboys and cowgirls a true taste of the West. The event also featured a captivating martial arts demonstration by Thai Tsung, adding a unique cultural twist to the festivities.
One of the most talked-about moments was the incredible raffle, which offered a range of exciting prizes — including the standout reward of a luxury box ticket at Arsenal, delighting football fans and families alike.
Adding a touch of civic pride, the school was honoured by a special visit from the Mayor of Enfield, who toured the fayre and spent time chatting with students and families, praising the school’s ongoing commitment to fostering community and inclusivity.
Headteacher and organisers extended their heartfelt thanks to the school’s Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) and wider school community for their tireless efforts and unwavering support.
“Our summer fayre is a true celebration of the values we hold dear — community, family, and the joy of learning together,” said the school’s spokesperson. “We’re proud to be a nurturing, values-driven school in the heart of north London.”
