Kaya Jayarajah

Kaya attended Vita Et Pax from 1990-1993.  She then attended secondary school in Hertfordshire following which she progressed to Goldsmith’s University of London to read psychology. She spent some time working as a behavioural psychologist with children with learning disabilities after graduating.

Kaya went on to train as a doctor at the University of Leicester in 2004 and undertook further postgraduate training to become a Consultant Anaesthetist at a tertiary hospital in London. She is heavily involved in training the doctors of tomorrow as well as nurses, paramedics, and midwives.

Kaya is passionate about learning and education and is pursuing a postgraduate certificate of medical education.  Kaya has keen interests in wellbeing and is a qualified hatha and vinyasa yoga & meditation teacher and she teaches professionally in a south London yoga studio.  Her interests include photography, hiking and surfing.  Kaya has been a governor since 2020.
